Our boating club learns together, volunteers together and has fun together.
Members of the St. Paul Sail and Power Squadron boat on the Upper Mississippi, Minnesota, and St Croix rivers and on inland lakes (including the Great Lakes) – in cruisers, sailboats, kayaks, PWCs, motor yachts and canoes. The St. Paul Sail and Power Squadron is one of 450 units of the United States Power Squadrons® (www.usps.org) located across the country - now also known as America's Boating Club.
We’ve been making boating safer and more enjoyable for over 100 years. America's Boating Club® is made up of approximately 25,000 members organized into hundreds of regional "Squadrons" or "Clubs" throughout the United States of America and its territories. Whether you are just looking to take a public boating class or would like to become a member of our organization, we're glad you're here, and we look forward to welcoming you at an upcoming class or out on the water. Our scheduled public classes and seminars offering are listed here.
Our complete course and seminar offerings are summarized in the Class Library.
America's Boating Club® of St. Paul is part of District 10, which serves Minnesota, Wisconsin, a portion of northeastern Iowa and the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. The St. Paul Sail and Power Squadron's "base" of operations includes the St. Croix River, the Mississippi River and the many lakes in east central Minnesota and western Wisconsin. Our members enjoy a wide variety of inland waters from the Great Lakes and major rivers to a multitude of small and large inland lakes. We've got it all within just a few hours of travel time.
Each year, our members and their families enjoy the opportunity to donate their time to make our waters safer. We teach classes, offer on-the-water training, host picnics and social events, and participate in civic service events. We welcome power boaters, sailors, paddlers and members from all walks of life.
