Hosted by the St. Paul Squadron, it is open to the boating public, including youths hoping to acquire their Minnesota Boater Education card. Instructors are members of the St. Paul Squadron who are NASBLA-certified to teach this course.
America’s Boating Course helps both new and experienced boaters understand the topics needed to meet NASBLA*-approved course requirements. We will review rules of the road, required safety equipment, navigation aids, lights and sounds, anchoring, communications, adverse conditions, water sports safety, trailering, personal watercraft safety, local and federal laws, knots and lines. This course is perfect if you are a new boat owner or just want to freshen up your knowledge and become a safer, more confident boater. Ample time for questions, local information and discussion with other boaters expands on the course curriculum to broaden students’ boating knowledge.
This course is considered the first step in joining the St Paul Sail & Power Squadron. Register using the link below.
