America’s Boating Course helps both new and experienced boaters understand the topics needed to meet state boating license and operator certificate requirements in Minnesota and Wisconsin. We will review rules of the road, required safety equipment, navigation aids, lights and sounds, anchoring, communications, adverse conditions, water sports safety, trailering, personal watercraft safety, local and federal laws, knots and lines. This course is perfect if you are a new boat owner or just want to freshen up your knowledge and become a safer, more confident boater. Ample time for questions, local information and discussion with other boaters expands on the course curriculum to broaden students’ boating knowledge.
This course is considered the first step in joining America’s Boating Club. Register using the link below.
Cost for materials is $35.00. Instruction is provided by certified instructor volunteers.
